Responsibilities:

  • Lead and continuously improve manufacturing and assembly processes, with a strong focus on process optimization, productivity, quality, and cost reduction.
  • Implement new products, advanced manufacturing technologies, equipment, and process changes into serial production.
  • Analyze and resolve production issues using Lean Manufacturing methodologies and structured problem-solving tools (8D, 5 Why, TPM, SMED, scrap reduction).
  • Plan, monitor, and control production schedules, capacity utilization, and output performance to ensure operational targets are achieved.
  • Analyze production KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
  • Develop, maintain, and update manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, standard work, PFMEA, BOMs, routings, and APQP-related documentation.
  • Work with SAP to create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and production routings.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, including IATF 16949/APQP requirements.
  • Train production personnel on new processes, equipment, and operating standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Process Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering within a production environment, preferably in the automotive or aerospace industry.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and create technical, manufacturing, and assembly drawings.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project)  (knowledge of SAP nice to have), including BOM and routing management.
  • Solid understanding of serial manufacturing and assembly processes, including machining, fastening/torque-controlled operations, inspection systems, and production equipment.
  • Practical strong knowledge of problem-solving methodologies and quality tools.
  • Technical knowledge of manufacturing automation, including CNC machining, , industrial robot programming, vision systems, and PLC-controlled equipment, is considered an advantage.
  • Technical knowledge of welding technologies and joining processes, including MIG/MAG, TIG, resistance spot welding, laser welding, brazing, and automated robotic welding systems, is considered an advantage - nice to have.
  • Knowledge of turbocharger products, assembly processes, and operating principles is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver results within established deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma certifications are considered an asset.
