Veterinarian (Small Animal) – Richmond Hill, NY
A growing small animal veterinary practice is seeking a full-time veterinarian to join its close-knit and supportive team. This opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and recent graduates, with mentorship and professional growth available.
What You'll Do
- Provide comprehensive preventative, diagnostic, and medical care for companion animals.
- Conduct wellness examinations and vaccinations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's needs.
- Educate clients about preventive healthcare and treatment options.
- Build strong, lasting relationships with clients and their pets.
- Collaborate with veterinary and support team members to provide excellent patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and follow appropriate veterinary standards.
- Participate in mentorship and continuing professional development.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited university.
- Active veterinary license or eligibility to obtain licensure in the state of practice.
- DEA license preferred but not required.
- USDA accreditation preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, client-focused approach to veterinary medicine.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
