Overview
AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Land Surveyor to support the construction supervision and delivery of major high-rise residential, commercial, hospitality, mixed-use, and large-scale building developments in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting land and construction surveys, verifying site coordinates and levels, monitoring structural positioning, and ensuring all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Your role
- Conduct topographical, boundary, control, and construction surveys for high-rise and building development projects.
- Establish and maintain project survey control networks, benchmarks, and reference points.
- Verify site coordinates, levels, dimensions, and alignments prior to construction activities.
- Ensure construction activities are accurately positioned in accordance with approved drawings and project requirements.
- Perform as-built surveys and prepare as-built drawings and records.
- Monitor verticality, settlement, movement, and deformation of structures during construction.
- Verify contractor survey activities and ensure compliance with approved survey procedures.
- Coordinate survey requirements with Resident Engineers, Structural Engineers, Architects, Contractors, and Site Inspectors.
- Conduct elevation checks and dimensional verification of completed works.
- Utilize modern surveying technologies including total stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, laser scanners, and digital levels.
- Review survey reports, calculations, and setting-out records prepared by contractors.
- Ensure survey equipment is calibrated and maintained in accordance with project requirements.
- Support quantity verification and measurement activities when required.
- Prepare survey reports, sketches, coordinate sheets, and technical documentation.
- Assist in resolving site discrepancies between drawings and actual field conditions.
- Participate in project inspections, quality audits, and progress meetings.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements during survey activities.
- Support project handover activities by providing accurate survey records and as-built information.
- Maintain all survey data and documentation in accordance with project document control procedures.
About you
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professional Surveying Certification is preferred.
- Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) is an advantage.
- Training in modern surveying technologies and software is desirable.
- 5 to 10 years of professional surveying experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience on high-rise and major building construction projects.
- Previous Saudi Arabia or GCC experience is highly preferred.
- Experience working with consultants, PMCs, contractors, and developers.
- Demonstrated experience in construction setting-out, verification surveys, and as-built surveys.
- Knowledge of quality assurance procedures related to surveying and construction verification.
- Familiarity with Saudi surveying standards and construction practices.
