Laborer

Waste Connections is hiring for a Truck Washer / Yard Laborer at our facility in Olive Branch, MS!

As a Truck Washer / Yard Laborer, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Washing and cleaning trucks, trailers, containers, and other company equipment to maintain a professional appearance.
• Operating pressure washers, cleaning tools, and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Inspecting vehicles for cleanliness and reporting any visible damage or maintenance concerns to management.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe wash bay and yard area.
• Assisting with general yard duties, including litter pickup, sweeping, and housekeeping.
• Moving and staging vehicles within the yard as directed and in accordance with safety procedures.
• Supporting basic preventative maintenance efforts by checking fluid levels and reporting equipment issues.
• Promoting continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

What We Need From You:

• One year of stable employment history in a labor, maintenance, or similar outdoor work environment preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the day.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
• Dependable work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
