Location: Gamlingay / Sandy
Pay: £12.71 per hour starting rate
Job Type: Temp to Perm
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6am to 2pm
About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established print company in the Gamlingay / Sandy area for an Ink Technician. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for mixing and preparing inks accurately for the production machines.
You will need to be someone who can think for themselves, take ownership of your work and use good problem-solving skills to keep production running smoothly.
What You’ll Do

Mix and prepare inks accurately for all production machines

Ensure inks are prepared to the required specifications for each job

Monitor ink requirements throughout the production process

Identify and resolve issues with ink mixes and production requirements

Work closely with the production team to ensure machines have the correct inks available

Take ownership of the role and work independently when required

Maintain a clean, organised and safe working area

Follow production procedures and quality standards
What We’re Looking For

Experience in a print, production or manufacturing environment would be beneficial

Strong problem-solving skills and a practical approach to issues

Able to work independently and use your own initiative

Good attention to detail, particularly when measuring and mixing inks

Comfortable working to production requirements and deadlines

A responsible approach with the ability to take ownership of your work
Who Might Suit This Role
This role could suit someone with previous experience as an Ink Technician, Ink Mixer, Ink Preparation Operative, Print Production Operative, Print Technician or Production Operative within the printing or manufacturing industry.
It could also suit someone from a wider production, manufacturing, chemical mixing or machine operating background who has strong attention to detail and enjoys practical problem solving.
