## What you’ll do:

Responsible for material planning, purchase order execution, scheduling, inventory management and supply chain coordination to ensure timely material availability for production. Optimize inventory levels, reduce excess and obsolete inventory, improve supplier delivery performance, and support operational goals through effective material control.

This position also need to plans and executes material and sourcing activities for specific production, productivity and new product development projects. Working with cross-functional teams and suppliers, this role ensures timely material availability, supports supply-chain strategy, manages project and supply risks, optimizes inventory, and achieves quality, cost and on-time delivery objectives.

  • Plan and execute material-control and sourcing activities for productivity and new product development projects, aligned with division and site supply-chain strategies.、
  • Place purchase orders based on approved purchase requisitions and material requirements planning (MRP); obtain supplier confirmation and maintain item-level estimated arrival dates in SAP.
  • Expedite urgent orders and communicate timely delivery status to production planning and other stakeholders.
  • Engage suppliers during concept and design reviews; evaluate design alternatives, make-versus-buy scenarios, cost, lead time, capital requirements and development timing.
  • Execute pre-production sourcing activities, including non-disclosure agreements, requests for quotation, supplier negotiations, purchase orders and prototype-part tracking; coordinate first article inspection and production part approval activities with Quality and Supplier Quality.
  • Identify new technologies, materials and process opportunities and communicate recommendations to commodity management, procurement, engineering and project teams.
  • Improve supplier on-time delivery and order lead time to ensure reliable material supply.
  • Optimize inventory structure and minimize excess, obsolete and long-aging inventory; adjust or cancel purchase orders promptly when demand changes.
  • Maintain accurate material-planning parameters in SAP and resolve goods receipt/invoice receipt variances.
  • Coordinate quality returns, replenishment and engineering changes to ensure timely material cut-in and minimize shortages and inventory scrap cost.
  • Identify project dependencies and supply risks, implement mitigation plans, and communicate project status, quality and deliverables to stakeholders.
  • Manage the transition from pre-production to production, including phase-in/phase-out planning and inventory control.
  • Improve supplier consignment and just-in-time delivery ratios; confirm delivery dates for trading and CDS finished goods with Demand Planning and Customer Service.
  • Complete other material-control and sourcing assignments from the manager.

## Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Materials Management or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, supply chain, purchasing or material control, including experience supporting engineering, new product development or complex productivity projects.
  • Proficient in SAP/ERP and MRP; material planning, purchase order and inventory management; supplier delivery and sourcing processes; requests for quotation and commercial negotiation; goods receipt/invoice receipt variance handling; engineering change control; first article inspection and production part approval; phase-in/phase-out planning; consignment and just-in-time supply.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English, with the ability to understand technical and business information and communicate effectively with global suppliers and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Strong teamwork, stakeholder management, problem-solving and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Able to identify critical dependencies and risks and drive timely mitigation actions.
