Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $23.00 – $30.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (must have flexibility for occasional evenings or weekends for job fairs and urgent hiring needs)
Job Summary
As a JD Home Healthcare Recruiter, you will spearhead our talent acquisition process which plays a pivotal role in building a skilled, compassionate, and diverse workforce. In this role, you will collaborate with department heads to determine staffing needs and execute hiring strategies tailored to Minnesota 245D regulations. From posting job ads to conducting thorough candidate evaluations, you will ensure a seamless, compliant, and engaging hiring experience for all applicants.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Candidate Sourcing & Ad Management: Create, optimize, and post job listings across hiring platforms (Indeed, LinkedIn, industry job boards, and social networks).
- Screening & Pipeline Management: Review resumes, conduct initial phone screens, and maintain an organized, up-to-date applicant tracking database.
- Interview Coordination: Schedule interview panels, coordinate candidate logistics, and actively participate in both virtual and in-person interviews.
- Onboarding & Training Compliance: Partner with HR to facilitate new-hire onboarding, verify credentials, and ensure 245D initial training requirements are met.
- Job Fairs & Networking: Represent JD Home Healthcare at community events, hiring expos, and college career fairs.
- Regulatory Adherence: Complete required continuing education, maintain mandated records, and report any suspected or known maltreatment/abuse per company policy and DHS guidelines.
- Confidentiality: Maintain strict privacy and data security standards for all staff members and individuals served.
- General HR Support: Attend mandatory monthly trainings and assist with general human resources initiatives as assigned.
- Recruiting Acumen: Solid understanding of end-to-end recruitment lifecycle stages (sourcing, screening, interviewing, assessment, and onboarding).
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with recruitment software, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and social media sourcing channels.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional written, verbal, and relationship-building abilities to connect effectively with applicants and internal leaders.
- Time Management & Autonomy: Strong self-starter attitude with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet hiring targets, and solve hiring bottlenecks.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work cooperatively within a mission-driven care team.
Required:
- Age & Education: Must be at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Clearance: Must successfully pass Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) background study.
- Experience: 5+ years of dedicated recruiting or talent acquisition experience.
- Acumen: Strong understanding of full-cycle recruiting, applicant tracking systems, reporting, and interviewing techniques.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a closely related field.
- Industry Knowledge: Prior recruiting or HR experience within 245D waivered services, home healthcare, or human services environment.
