Purpose of the Job – State concisely the aim of the job.
• Act as an agent of change for the Supply and Food data within Supply Management, collaborating with other domains, region & country data teams and TDDI stakeholders to ensure successful delivery and adoption of transformation initiatives.
• Own and operationalize the Supply & Food elements of the Core Data Model (CDM), central taxonomy, data definitions and data quality expectations so they can be used consistently in ERP, S2C, TOM and reporting initiatives.
• Oversee end to end delivery of data transformation initiatives
• Translate business needs into tangible data deliverables: requirements, data dictionaries, mapping rules, quality checks, ownership model, documentation, adoption plans and progress dashboards.
• Drive continuous improvement and measurable value from data change by improving usability, quality, consistency and adoption of Supply & Food data across the organization.
• Support the implementation of data policy, processes, procedures required as part of each Global, Regional and Local initiatives.
This role will report to the Global Supply Management, Data Governance Director.
Context and main issues
Sodexo is accelerating its data journey to support sustainable business growth, stronger client and consumer offers, operational efficiency and better decision-making using Supply and Food data.
Data is a strategic enabler for transformation. This role makes the transformation tangible by converting high-level data governance principles into usable standards, definitions, processes, tools and adoption support for business teams.
Main challenges: Engage and bring people on the data transformation journey, facilitating cultural change to a data-centric mindset, managing and support the delivery of projects and initiatives. Understanding current state and future requirements to create the transformation plan and roadmap. Understanding and enabling transformation and different organisational levels – Global, Regional and Local.
Main assignments
Delivery against Data Governance objectives
• Be the agent of change for all things data, including ERP and TOM
• Facilitating the collection of Supply and Food Data requirements and data assets
• Recognize interdependencies across the Supply and Food data domains
• SMEs in Data Technologies for Supply and Food operations
• Build and animate the stakeholder and data champion network for Supply & Food, acting as the first point of contact for selected countries, regions or projects.
• Identify data dependencies across Supply, Food and adjacent domains; escalate conflicts or gaps and drive resolution with Data Governance, TDDI and business stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops with global, regional and country teams to align definitions, ownership, governance decisions and deployment priorities.
• Prepare clear user-facing documentation, guidance, training material and change communications that help teams apply the CDM, taxonomy and data polices and standards.
Accountabilities
• Management of CDM data points for both Food and Supply and central taxonomy and their alignment to our processes and end users with a focus on driving delivery of these in regions and countries
• Ownership of global, regional and local value realization for data change
• Provide best practice data product ownership for all our domains
• Define and maintain data documentation ensuring coherence with other policies and related tools
• Lead global, regional and local communication on data initiatives
• SPOC for some SM designated countries / regions / projects
Person Specification
Proven analytical skills, including Power BI and/or equivalent reporting tools; confident working with data
sets, issue logs and dashboards to support decisions and follow-up.
• Knowledge of data governance, data modelling, data dictionaries and data quality management, ideally in a
large multi-country organization.
• Knowledge of supply management, procurement or Food industry processes
• Able to translate business questions into precise data requirements, definitions, rules, mappings, acceptance criteria and documentation that technical and business teams can use.
• Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills, able to align global, regional and country teams around common standards while addressing practical local constraints.
• Structured, pragmatic and delivery-focused; able to manage ambiguity, prioritize competing needs and turn broad transformation objectives into concrete actions and outputs.
• Clear communicator with the ability to create simple guidance, training and change messages for varied audiences, from data specialists to business users.
