Job Purpose
We are looking for an experienced accountant to manage day-to-day accounts payable activities and support accounts receivable, reconciliations, audits and period-end closing. You will bring strong attention to detail, solid knowledge of German accounting standards and a collaborative, service-focused approach.
Responsibilities
- Process and pay supplier invoices
- Reconcile accounts, including bank accounts
- Support accounts receivable activities
- Prepare information for year-end and internal audits
- Review travel expenses for tax compliance and process reimbursements
- Maintain accurate, well-organised accounting records
Qualifications
Position Requirements
- At least five years’ accounts payable experience; accounts receivable experience is a plus
- Knowledge of German accounting standards (HGB); IFRS knowledge is desirable
- Experience with ERP systems for small businesses; D365 experience is an advantage
- Completed commercial or business administration training; further accounting qualifications are welcomed and supported
- Good Excel skills and fluency in German and English
- Experience supporting monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities
- A careful, accurate and reliable approach
- A friendly, professional communication style with customers, suppliers and colleagues
