Job Description:
The Senior Finance Analyst supports Global Liquidity Management (GLM) regulatory reporting, liquidity analytics, data governance, process improvement, control execution, and strategic reporting initiatives.
This job is responsible for influencing and driving optimal bank-wide liquidity strategies by Lines of Business (LOBs) and legal entity in business as usual (BAU) and stress scenarios. Key responsibilities include overseeing and influencing liquidity utilization across the organization and providing input into process and control designs, operational risk mitigation, issue management, automation, and other initiatives across the bank.
Responsibilities:
- Measures, analyzes, monitors, and reports on the bank's spot and forecasted liquidity position, provides guidance to business units to improve liquidity position, and supports regulatory and management liquidity reporting
- Oversees processes, risks, and controls and tracks and monitors issues to ensure adherence with policies, risk standards, and compliance with internal and regulatory liquidity reporting requirements
- Partners with other Lines of Business (LOBs) to determine limits, guidelines, and direction, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and the bank's risk framework
- Monitors liquidity risk trends relating to business activities and correlations between business drivers and liquidity usage and builds out enhanced liquidity reporting
- Reviews liquidity regulations and ensures documentation required for compliance is up to date with regulatory requirements
- Streamlines reporting processes and builds out analytic capabilities using emerging technology (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, etc.)
- Provides input into monthly and quarterly reporting, disclosures, and presentations for Risk Committees, Board of Directors, and enterprise and local regulators
- Support production, analysis, and governance of liquidity regulatory reporting.
- Perform quantitative analysis of liquidity positions, cash flows, collateral, and balance sheet activity.
- Drive data quality improvements and remediation initiatives across GLM platforms.
- Partner with Treasury, Finance, Operations, Technology, Controllers, and Risk teams.
- Support strategic initiatives including reporting modernization and process automation.
- Prepare management reporting, governance materials, and regulatory support documentation.
- Execute controls, reconciliations, and issue resolution activities.
- Assist with implementation of new regulatory, business, and technology requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in financial reporting, treasury, liquidity, risk, product control, or regulatory reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Experience working with large data sets and cross-functional stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with LCR, NSFR, FR 2052a, liquidity reporting, treasury, or balance sheet management.
- Knowledge of derivatives, securities financing transactions, collateral, or capital markets products.
- Experience with SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI, or similar analytical tools.
- Regulatory reporting or finance transformation experience.
