Description CORE-CSI is a small business headquartered in Sterling, VA. We provide trusted and results-oriented expertise to the Intelligence Community, the Department of Defense, and other Federal and Commercial customers across the US. Core-CSI is seeking a talented Mid-Level Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) / Oracle SME to support a federal government customer. The successful candidate will provide hands-on Oracle database administration, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, backup/recovery, and operational support across enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Oracle databases in on-premises and cloud environments.
- Support Oracle Database, Oracle Grid, Oracle RMAN, and PL/SQL technologies.
- Create, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Oracle databases.
- Perform backup, recovery, patching, upgrades, monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Implement and test High Availability and Disaster Recovery procedures.
- Troubleshoot database, server, and application integration issues.
- Respond to operational incidents and conduct root-cause analysis.
- Execute Requests for Change and resolve ServiceNow tickets according to operational requirements.
- Implement database security controls, encryption, and auditing.
- Develop and maintain database scripts and operational automation.
- Work with senior DBAs, infrastructure teams, application teams, and government stakeholders.
- Maintain technical documentation and support weekly activity reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of database administration experience.
- US Citizenship is required for this position.
- Hands-on Oracle Database administration experience.
- Experience with Oracle RMAN, PL/SQL, backup/recovery, patching, and database troubleshooting.
- Understanding of Oracle Grid, HA/DR, database security, monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Ability to troubleshoot production database issues and work within established operational processes.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Oracle certification is preferred.
