Join Weavers Way Co-op as a Sandwich Station Supervisor!

We are seeking a dependable and driven Sandwich Station Supervisor to support the Deli department at our Chestnut Hill location. This is a full-time position with an anticipated 35+ hours per week. Open availability is preferred, and weekend availability is required. This role oversees day-to-day operations of the Sandwich station, catering orders, and supervises staff. This hands-on position plays a critical role in maintaining product availability and delivering a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities Include:

• Day-to-day supervision of Sandwich Station staff, including ensuring sandwiches are prepared and labelled/tagged properly, and signage is accurate. 
• Assist in training new staff in standard practices and procedures, sanitation, product information, and customer service
• Supervisor will prioritize and execute catering orders/platter.
• Demonstrated proficiency in preparing sandwich trays, with the ability to accurately execute sandwich platter catering orders, sandwich pre-orders, and online orders while ensuring quality, presentation, and order accuracy.
• Ensure food prep, back stock storage areas, and display areas are maintained in sanitary, orderly condition, meeting health department standards.
• Order and maintain equipment to ensure safe and proper operation, and report maintenance needs.
• Assist with quarterly inventories.
• Perform other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.

Requirements

• Commitment to the mission and goals of Weavers Way Co-op.
• Basic knowledge of sandwich station production and catering. 
• Experience supervising staff in the culinary setting preferred. 
• The ability to remain standing for up to 8 hours. 
• The ability to lift, carry, and pull items weighing up to 50lbs. 
• Exhibited ability to work well in a team setting.
• Strong communication skills with supervisors, staff, and members.
• Commitment to superior customer service.
• Ability to effectively multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment when necessary.
• Demonstrated ability to follow through on commitments.
• Ability to keep detailed and clear records, develop and follow standard procedures.
