Position: Staff Product Manager

 

Job Location: 850 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066

 

Duties: Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Develops technical product specifications for the architecture of underlying platform components (for example: identity, content management and payment processing) by using artifacts such as systems flows, product requirement documents and logical data models. Manages the evolution of a component of an ecommerce platform by collaborating with architects, services product managers and VP of Platform architecture to develop, maintain and evangelize the technical product roadmap associated to his/her area. Manages vendor relationships and identifies emerging technology platforms; evaluating and selecting vendors; negotiating agreements and contracts; managing partners integration; and securing necessary engagement and resource alignment for the creation of co-developed product features. Develops and champions a product strategy, and roadmap for a specific platform product area in support of architectural vision and principles established by the office of the CTO by leveraging consumer insights, competitive analysis, and insights of emerging technologies to identify new product opportunities and enhancements; and working with multiple functions to build and evaluate business cases to support product investment decisions. This position does not supervise employees.

 

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related area and 5 years of experience in product management; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related area and 7 years of experience in product management.

 

Skills required: Experience with customer onboarding for SaaS-based products, feature adoption, and customer activation. Experience building complex web applications. Experience developing long term product strategies, building business cases, and delivering technical presentations. Demonstrated knowledge of distributed systems, microservices based architecture, RESTful APIs, and SQL. Experience designing simple and intuitive user interfaces and creating examples through wireframes and mockups. Experience analyzing complex, large-scale data sets and using data visualization tools: Tableau, Alteryx, Looker, and Python. Experience gathering requirements across diverse areas and users and developing and converting them into product solutions using statistical techniques, including significance tests and conjoint analysis. Experience implementing product management best practices to streamline work procedures and speed to execution. Experience with retail media networks and developing solutions to satisfy programmatic advertising systems, including ad exchanges and demand side advertising platforms. Experience building collaborative relationships with key partners by driving priorities aligned to Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), communicating and prioritizing product roadmaps, and gaining buy-in from executive leadership. Experience building digital identity systems as part of modern marketing technology stacks utilizing data integration and analysis techniques to integrate diverse data sources into a unified customer profile. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

 

Salary Range: $166,421/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
