Meet your future team

You will become part of the Project Engineering team in Thyregod, working closely with colleagues across engineering, production, maintenance, and external suppliers. The team is responsible for developing, implementing, and maturing production technologies that support efficient, stable, and safe manufacturing operations.

As our automation specialist, you will play a central role in automation-related projects and production development initiatives. You will work in an environment characterized by collaboration, knowledge sharing, mutual respect, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

What we offer

More specifically your tasks will be to:

• Act as the automation specialist in engineering projects and production development activities.
• Provide technical guidance and support to automation technicians, maintenance teams, and project stakeholders.
• Verify and approve machinery and equipment according to applicable requirements and specifications.
• Support the commissioning, qualification, and maturation of new technologies and production equipment.
• Develop, review, and optimize automation solutions, including programmable logic controller programming and robotic applications.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests to ensure successful implementation.
• Contribute to initiatives involving industrial connectivity, manufacturing information technology systems, cloud-based solutions, servers, and standardized machine control concepts where relevant.
• Drive continuous improvements that enhance productivity, quality, safety, and operational stability.

What you will bring

You combine strong technical capabilities with a practical and structured approach to problem-solving. You enjoy working across disciplines and are motivated by transforming technical requirements into dependable production solutions.

Moreover, we expect that you:

• Hold a degree in engineering, automation, electronics, or another relevant technical discipline, or possess equivalent technical qualifications.
• Have around 5-10 years of experience within industrial automation, robotics, or manufacturing technology.
• Bring solid experience in programmable logic controller programming, preferably with Siemens TIA Portal.
• Have experience with robotics; knowledge of KUKA and/or Fanuc is considered an advantage.
• Have participated in commissioning activities, Factory Acceptance Tests, Site Acceptance Tests, and equipment qualification processes.
• Have experience with or interest in industrial connectivity, manufacturing information technology, cloud technologies, servers, and machine control standards.
• Communicate effectively in both Danish and English.
• Enjoy collaborating with diverse stakeholders and building strong working relationships across functions.

The position includes limited domestic and international travel, typically up to 20 days annually. Travel will primarily be within Europe.
