As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed TWIC Patrol Inspection in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government port location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, report observations, and provide professional customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to port visitors, tenants, contractors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Monitor access points, check credentials and authorized entry documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted port areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of port facilities, terminals, perimeter areas, parking locations, and other assigned areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, access issues, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
