Overview
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a self-driven candidate with the ability to obtain Secret clearance to join AMERICAN SYSTEMS Engineering Services Directorate as a Program/Project Manager for Weapons Handling Systems.
Responsibilities
- Subject Matter Expert for Submarine Ordnance Weapon Handling, launchers, and stowage system on LOS ANGELES, OHIO, SEAWOLF, and VIRGINIA class submarines.
- Subject Matter Expert for Submarine Launcher Systems, Periodic Maintenance, Certification Processes, Weight Testing requirements including Test Loads Method Drawing (TLMD) development
- Work directly with Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC), Type Commanders, Shipyards, fleet maintenance activities, warfare centers, and private industrySubmarine operations and maintenance scheduling and support
- Special Operating Forces (SOF) Ordnance Handling Equipment development, certification, and fleet support
- SSNX program concept development, design, life cycle planning, and ship specification development
- Work with government, military, and private industry teams to develop and fleet integrate new ideas and unique solutions for submarine payload integration efforts
Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance.
- High School Diploma or GED
- System Matter Expert with 15+ years’ experience on Submarine Launcher Systems, Periodic Maintenance, Certification Processes, Weight Testing requirements including Test Loads Method Drawing (TLMD) development
- In depth knowledge of the Periodic Maintenance requirements for Submarine Launcher Systems and Handling Equipment
