Job Summary
Makes inventory transfers in computer. Moves materials (such as raw materials, finished products, etc..) in shipping areas using electric, gas, propane, or diesel forklift tractor. Works daily to ensure assigned areas of responsibility are working with risk lowered to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) specifically in an effort to achieve ZERO HARM so no injuries, illness or negative impact occurs to employees, property, the environment or the community.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. This description identifies the key responsibilities and expectations for performance. Other job-related responsibilities may be assigned based on the company’s pay-for-skills program and job-related duties as reasonably assigned by his/her supervisor.
- Knowledge of safety equipment and procedures for shipping/receiving operations; ensures a clean and organized work area.
- Operates forklifts and/or overhead cranes to load/unload material, and stores materials safely and efficiently.
- Manages inventory by monitoring levels, performing cycle counts, and resolving discrepancies.
- Runs reports (ship confirms, bills of lading, pick slips) and processes intercompany transfers as requested by sales.
- Inspects finished products for quality, stages materials, and supports production as needed.
- Trains new employees, collaborates with production supervisors, and handles other shipping and production duties.
11am-7pm, Monday through Friday

The education and experience requirements listed here indicate the minimum basic educational knowledge and minimum previous work-related experience required by the job duties of the position.Education:
High School diploma or equivalent; ability to complete simple forms and understand simple written instructions. Ability to perform simple arithmetic skills involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.
Experience:
A minimum of 3 months work-related experience is required.
An equivalent combination of education and work-related experience may be acceptable.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Forklift certification and Overhead crane (will provide in-house training as needed)Skills and Abilities
Ability to plan and prioritize setups, operations, and processes.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
