Why this role is important to us  

Simcorp is seeking an experienced Principal Business Consultant to join our Technology Solutions team. This is a full-time role to be based either in Singapore or Hong Kong supporting our growing APAC client base. 

The ideal candidate will bring a solid technical foundation, along with financial services knowledge and domain expertise in risk, valuation, and performance. You will be responsible for coordinating and delivering risk and performance attribution implementation projects, with demonstrated experience managing stakeholder relationships across both internal and external teams. We are looking for an experienced professional with solid project delivery credentials who can translate complex technical requirements into business outcomes while working alongside investment professionals and internal stakeholders to drive implementation success

This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse, important projects within a growing organization, combining your technical expertise with strategic business consulting to support our clients' evolving needs

What you will be responsible for:  

• Lead implementation and client onboarding projects from design through delivery, while mentoring and supporting junior team members 
• Design and build out ETL processes to support client data integration and analytics delivery 
• Lead solution design engagements with partners and across client projects, translating business requirements into technical architecture 
• Work with product, engineering, and operations teams to drive client success and support smooth solution rollout
• Partner with sales and pre-sales teams to validate delivery timelines, identify functional gaps during scoping, and ensure realistic project estimates 
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, and identify process improvement opportunities to enhance delivery efficiency and team effectiveness 
• Provide valuable input into the analytics integration strategy for Simcorp's IMS platform (SimcorpOne), helping improve functionality and implementation approach 

What we value:  

Essential: 

• Degree in a quantitative or technical field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Econometrics, or related discipline 
• 5+ years of experience delivering SaaS solutions
• Solid technical foundation with practical programming experience in Python, Java, or C#
• Demonstrated skill in designing and integrating solutions with REST APIs and web services
• Ability to solve complex problems on their own and articulate technical concepts clearly to end users with varying levels of experience
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English

Desirable: 

• Professional risk qualifications such as CFA, FRM, CAIA 
• Professional project management qualifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or relevant Agile certifications 
• Experience with granular and factor-based risk models 
• Solid financial services knowledge and domain expertise (risk, valuation and performance) 
• Experience mentoring and developing junior team members 
• Familiarity with frontier LLM technologies and applications 
• Fluency in additional languages
