Description

For over two decades, BrainPOP has been trusted by educators and parents worldwide as a source of engaging and impactful learning experiences for all kids. With a presence in over two-thirds of U.S. districts through school and district subscriptions and an estimated annual reach of 25 million students, BrainPOP is empowering kids to take agency over their learning and excel in and out of the classroom.

The company was acquired in 2022 by KIRKBI, the family-owned holding and investment company of the LEGO brand, marking a significant milestone as their first acquisition in the digital learning realm. We are thrilled to continue making learning fun and accessible with the strategic guidance and support of KIRKBI.

About the Role

Reporting to the CEO, the ELT Enablement Lead will be a critical driver of the CEO and Executive Leadership Team’s performance flow, ensuring that the team’s approach to decisions, meetings, and follow-through get faster and cleaner over time.

The ELT Enablement Lead will leverage their good judgment, business acumen, and experience leading projects of varying complexity with executive level stakeholders to serve as the connective tissue to a lean exec team and enable them to function with high productivity and efficiency.

This is a hybrid role requiring  2-3 days onsite at our NYC HQ (more as needed).

What You’ll Do

Systems Design & Team Facilitation

  • Work with the CEO and the exec team to design AI-enabled systems, rhythms, and meetings that increase team flow, make cross-functional collaboration easier, and move strategic work forward
  • Facilitate executive team meetings – not just timekeeping but asking questions and mirroring back patterns to help the executive team make the most of its time
  • Design meeting and communication structures that increase information flow inside and outside of meetings
  • Identify improvements where meeting cadence, decision rights, or information flow aren't working, and propose and build solutions
  • Shape annual fiscal and school-year calendar rhythms, thinking intentionally about when to consolidate rather than add
  • Prepare agendas and prioritize topics with executive team input to increase efficiency and impact of time spent together

Executive Operations and Communications

  • Serve as a sounding board for executives related to executive communications, key meetings, and ELT collaboration approach
  • Connect dots across workstreams that no single function owns and flag cross-functional alignment needs or blockers
  • Manage and optimize the Executive Operating Calendar including Board and executive meetings and external conferences
  • Prep the CEO for external-facing moments – conferences, speaker events, stakeholder visits, board meetings
  • Help executives sequence internal communications — who needs to hear about a decision, and in what order, before it's announced more broadly — and building related communications materials (e.g. QBR follow-up, town hall presentations, etc.)
  • Own the operational backbone of exec team rhythm: calendar architecture, meeting design, follow-up systems (human and AI) to make it easy for executives to track what’s needed of them
  • Assist CEO/ELT with Board level communications, follow-up and coordination. Own the coordination of board meeting materials.

You Are

  • A systems thinker: You can see how a calendar, a meeting structure, and a decision-making process interact, and redesign them together rather than patching one at a time
  • Able to recognize patterns across conversations and workstreams, anticipating needs rather than just reacting to requests
  • Someone with a strong bias for action: moving decisions and follow-through forward without waiting for full certainty or explicit direction; know what needs the CEO's or executives' attention versus what can be handled independently
  • A strong facilitator: able to read a room, shape conversations, distinguish signal from noise, and have confidence to facilitate a group of c-level colleagues
  • Someone with high judgment and situational awareness: able to read a situation accurately and choose the right response without explicit instructions, including knowing what matters most, what warrants high vs. low investment of resources, how much process something needs, and when to escalate versus act independently
  • A strong written and verbal communicator: able to synthesize messy input into clear structure
  • Someone with an AI First Mindset and Skillset: use AI tools to handle routine documentation and synthesis, surface patterns that improve systems and ways of working, and free up more time for higher-judgment work, both for this role and the executive team
  • A proactive and agile learner: quickly absorb organizational context and unwritten norms, and adjust and improve based on feedback.

On Your Resume

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, strategy, PMO, or a similarly rigorous major considered. MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in project management, management consulting or similar experience working with executive level stakeholders at a high-growth company with a focus on operational excellence and execution
  • Experience evaluating operational gaps/ weaknesses, scaling and optimizing Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) adoption and outcomes enterprise-wide
  • Experience leveraging AI tools for productivity and efficiency at the individual and team level (Notion a plus)
  • Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives for companies with 300+ employees
  • Experience using data to analyze performance and drive strategic decision-making
  • Presentation, meeting planning, and communication experience across various audiences (in-team, cross-team, executive, board, etc.)
  • Edtech Experience is a plus, if you have not worked in the industry you are passionate about education
  • Must be able to work from the NYC office several days/week. Some domestic/international travel will be required.
