Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Barnet to assist with the appointment of a Passenger Fleet Supervisor, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £19.98 - £26.35 per hour
Summary:
An experienced Passenger Fleet Supervisor is required to support the effective and efficient delivery of an in-house Passenger Fleet Service.
The role involves supervising the day-to-day operation of the passenger transport fleet, supporting the management of drivers and escorts, coordinating transport resources, monitoring routes and contractors, and ensuring vehicles and services meet required safety, legal and operational standards.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the day-to-day operation of the Passenger Fleet Service, supporting a team of 65 drivers and 1 Driver Team Leader.
- Plan and optimise passenger transport routes to ensure an efficient and cost-effective service.
- Monitor contractors and service providers against agreed standards, KPIs and contractual requirements.
- Carry out contract compliance and operational audits.
- Ensure vehicles are safe, roadworthy and compliant with relevant licensing, MOT, safety and statutory requirements.
Essentials:
- Previous experience in passenger transport, fleet operations or a similar transport services environment.
- Experience supervising drivers, escorts or an operational transport workforce.
- Good knowledge of vehicle safety, licensing, compliance and passenger transport regulations.
- Experience of monitoring transport routes, contractors, KPIs and service performance.
- Strong customer service, communication and organisational skills.
- Passenger Transport Supervisor Certificate or equivalent qualification.
