Maintenance Technician – Steel Fabrication
Location: West Point, MS
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–3:30 PM

Job Summary
We are seeking an Experienced Maintenance Technician to join a steel fabrication operation in West Point, MS. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and the ability to perform welding and fabrication repairs.
This position is responsible for keeping production equipment and facility systems operating safely and efficiently through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair and troubleshoot steel fabrication equipment, including hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, conveyors, and other production machinery.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, including inspections, lubrication, filter changes, and safety-system testing.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues involving control panels, wiring, motors, and electrical components.
- Use multimeters, electrical schematics, and other diagnostic tools to identify and repair equipment issues.
- Perform MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding to repair machine guards, structural frames, fixtures, and material-handling equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair hand tools, electrical cords, air compressors, and other shop equipment.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and OSHA safety requirements.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing, steel fabrication, or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, motors, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Welding experience with MIG, TIG, and/or stick.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
- Understanding of LOTO procedures and OSHA safety standards.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize repairs in a fast-paced production environment.
