Pay Range

Outside London: £35,000 to £47,000

London Region: £37,000 to £47,500

Inside London: £38,000 to £48,500

This role is home based, but you will be expected to travel across the Kensington, Chelsea, and Westminster boroughs as and when required (up to once a week).

Please note, this role is a 12-month fixed-term contract until October 2027.

Formed in 2015, Reed Wellbeing has expanded rapidly, developing and delivering evidence-based lifestyle and wellbeing programmes that help people improve their health.  Guided by psychologists, dietitians, physical activity experts and other specialists our local teams support people to make sustainable, positive behavioural changes using engaging and interactive interventions that address individuals’ needs.  We deliver our services in the heart of communities, working with local public, private and voluntary partners.

What is the role about?

The Health & Wellbeing Manager is directly responsible and accountable for the effective delivery of a range of health interventions for the One You Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster contract ensuring our services meet or exceed commissioner performance expectations, are delivered within agreed budget and to agreed quality standards. This role will also specifically focus on partnership outreach, training, and subcontractor coordination to enhance the reach and quality of service delivery across the boroughs.

Just some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Leadership and Team Management - Health & Wellbeing Managers will lead and manage a dynamic and multi-disciplinary team of Health & Wellbeing Coaches.

Performance Management and Delivery - Health & Wellbeing Managers effectively promote and manage their programme(s) through effective planning, co-ordinating and monitoring of performance, quality and cost effectiveness of all elements of the service provision.

Business Growth and Relationship & Stakeholder Management - Health & Wellbeing Managers will proactively seek to grow the Reed Wellbeing business. They will build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships with local commissioning bodies, referral organisations and local complimentary services

Supply Chain Management - Health & Wellbeing Managers manage local supply chain partners, ensuring that performance and quality of service is maintained in line with contractual expectations.

Quality and Continuous Improvement - Health & Wellbeing Managers are responsible for the continuous improvement at the team level and contribution to continuous improvement at the organisational level.

Safeguarding - Health & Wellbeing Managers will be the Designated Safeguarding Person (DSP) for the services falling within their responsibilities. They will have a delegated responsibility for dealing with, and leading on, safeguarding issues within the business, providing advice and support to Co-Members, and working with a range of other agencies.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with: 

Screening Criteria

  • Extensive experience of team management across multiple offices within the Welfare to Work/Wellbeing Sector.

  • Experience of successfully managing a remote delivery team.

  • Experience and understanding of the design and implementation of complex operational process across multiple teams.

  • Degree or relevant qualification. Degree topics may include; psychology, sociology, social care/science.

Essential Criteria

  • Understanding of publicly funded contracts or OSTED standards (where applicable).

  • Technical skills include strong administration skills, good computer/technology skills, basic numeracy/spreadsheet skills and good written communication/record keeping skills.

  • Personal interests include interest in people and willingness to learn.  

  • Personal circumstances include willingness to travel. 

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience of working on programmes targeting relevant disadvantaged groups in society.

  • Experience of delivering foundation/ vocational learning programs. 

  • Technical skills include the ability to use technology to deliver results and knowledge of welfare/benefits system.

  • Personal interests include interest in career and self-development. 

  • Fluency in community languages. Community languages may include Cantonese, Mandarin, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Somali, Vietnamese, Dari, Yoruba, Turkish, French, Spanish, Albanian, Arabic, Bengali, Farsi, Gujerati, Polish, Serbian and Greek. (Dependent on programme).
