Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Pipework

The appointment of a Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Pipework will be a pivotal role at Rolls Royce SMR to lead the manufacturing engineering activity for large pipework assemblies and will work alongside a corresponding modules-focused engineer. You will be reporting to our Senior Manufacturing Manager and your role will look like,

 

• Develop the manufacturing methods, processes and production systems required to manufacture major nuclear components and pipework within the future factory environment
• Define how complex pipework systems will be manufactured, ensuring designs are manufacturable, supply chains are capable, and robust production methods are established before factory operations commence
• Produce manufacturing documentation, standards and work instructions
• Support supplier selection, development and technical readiness activities

 

 

We seek an inspiring and tenacious individual who will have had exposure in regulated or safety‑critical environments (as you would expect nuclear "know-how" will be of great interest to us, whilst those from defence, aerospace and manufacturing sectors may all have transferable capability).

 

We will need your application to showcase your experience and knowledge in the following areas:

 

• Manufacturing engineering experience within complex engineered products.
• Process development and industrialisation experience.
• Design for Manufacture experience.
• Supplier development or supplier technical support experience.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills.

 

 

Location & Ways of Working 

 

This role can be based from our Derby, Manchester or Warrington office. Hybrid working is standard, with regular supplier travel required. Some international travel may also be required depending on supplier activity.  In return we offer:

 

• A salary between £50,640 and £66,500 depending on experience
• 12.5% performance related bonus 
• A benefits allowance of £2,200 to build a personalised package
