Description
- Patient Intake & Preparation: Conduct patient admissions, review study procedures, fit PAP masks, and distribute/collect intake questionnaires.
- Sleep Study Execution: Perform polysomnographic recordings, ensuring high-quality, artifact-free data capture across all channels; initiate PAP titrations as indicated.
- Data Scoring & Analysis: Stage sleep architecture and score respiratory, cardiac, and movement events to prepare complete studies for physician interpretation.
- Specialized Diagnostic Testing: Set up, download, and compile diagnostic reports for Wrist Oximetry and Actigraphy studies.
- Shift Handoff & Patient Education: Provide pertinent clinical handoff details to oncoming shifts, deliver post-study discharge instructions, and educate patients and families.
- Equipment Maintenance & Administrative Support: Clean and disinfect clinical equipment, perform equipment maintenance records, manage department triage (phone/email/fax), and maintain complete logs in the EHR system.
- Credentials: Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) designation [Required].
- Specialty Experience: Minimum of 1+ years of dedicated Polysomnography / Sleep Lab experience [Required].
- Travel Experience: Prior travel work experience [Required].
- Patient Population: Hands-on experience with adult patient populations [Required].
- EHR Proficiency: Experience with Epic Electronic Health Record system [Required].
- Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) [Required].
- Core Competencies: Strong artifact recognition, precise scoring capabilities, excellent communication skills, and mentorship capabilities.
