Description

Dynamic Sealing Technologies, Inc. (DSTI) of Andover, MN is looking to hire a full-time Operations Manufacturing Engineer. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining the manufacturing information and systems required to support safe, efficient, and repeatable production. Owns and coordinates the manufacturing process that transitions engineering designs into production.

A Day in the Life of an Operations Manufacturing Engineer
- Develop and maintain manufacturing data, part numbers, methods, materials, operations, packaging requirements, and production documentation within ERP/MRP and related systems.
- Review Engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to determine materials, processes, and manufacturing needs.
- Coordinate manufacturing planning activities, including material selection, make versus buy decisions, outside services, sourcing, packaging, and product standardization.
- Facilitate cross functional method reviews with Engineering, Planning, Purchasing, Quality, Manufacturing, and other departments.
- Coordinate manufacturing changes and ensure related documentation, system updates, reviews, and approvals are complete before production release.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing standards, templates, and best practices that improve consistency, accuracy, and manufacturability.
- Support product lifecycle activities and identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, cost, lead time, and operational efficiency.
- Research and recommend improvements to manufacturing systems, technologies, materials, documentation, and processes.
- Monitor manufacturing KPI's and lead continuous inprovement initiatives
Qualifications for an Operations Manufacturing Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field. Equivalent experience may be considered a substitute.
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, manufacturing planning, manufacturing systems, process engineering, new product introduction, or a related manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering drawings, manufacturing documentation, manufacturing systems, and ERP/MRP systems. Epicor experience preferred.
- Experience coordinating activities across multiple departments in a manufacturing environment.

- A flexible schedule. The typical schedule would be Monday - Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm with some flexibility. Due to the hands-on nature of manufacturing routine remote work is not an option in this role.
