Restaurant Support - Back of House / Dishwasher - Adult Camp

JOB SUMMARY 

A dishwasher's job is to clean and sanitize dishes, kitchen equipment, and other areas in a kitchen to support food preparation and service:  

• Dishwashing: Wash, sort, stack, and store dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware. Operate dishwashing machines and ensure they are working properly.  

• Kitchen maintenance: Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and sanitized. Sweep and mop floors, clean and detail equipment, and empty trash. 

F&B LOCATIONS 

• Kitchen - Main food service area for campers breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the week  

• Burger Grill - Secondary food service area service burgers and hot dogs for lunch and dinner throughout the week  

• The Canteen - Quick service space at the central hub of campus (pizza, ice cream, etc.)   

• The Grind - Coffee service

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Operate in a team environment   

• Maintain health code standards for cleanliness, sanitation, and storage.    

• Keeps the food service area organized and clean, both the front and back of house.     

• Assist young campers during their food and beverage experience   

• Complete opening and closing tasks for front and back of house   

• Cleaning the serving areas, kitchen, and cleaning dishes and taking out the garbage   

• Ensure that all dishwashing areas are clean, organized and maintained throughout the day   

• Report any and all safety and maintenance concerns to supervisor   

• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS 

Required Qualifications 

• Must be 18 years of age or older 

• Employment in this position is contingent upon successful completion of all pre-hire background checks, including criminal history clearance through the Pennsylvania State Police (PATCH), child abuse clearance through the Department of Public Welfare, Motor Vehicle Record if required by position  and federal background screening via FBI fingerprinting 

PRE-REQUISITES 

Must have or be able to obtain the following prior to starting work: 

Woodward will supply information to assist you in obtaining these if needed.  

• Mandated Reporter Training Certificate 

• Safesport Training Certificate 

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS 

• Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 50 lbs.   

• Must be comfortable working in an outdoor and indoor all-season environment.   

• Adhere to all workplace safety practices, expectations, and guidelines.   

• Primary on-site work location: Woodward, PA
