Description
We are recruiting for a Development Manager in Industrial Development to originate, structure, and deliver industrial property developments from concept through to completion. This role is ideal for a commercially astute professional who thrives on identifying opportunities, building strategic relationships, and managing complex developments that create long-term value.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate new industrial development opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with landowners, brokers, occupiers, investors, and key stakeholders.
- Develop feasibility studies, business cases, and investment recommendations.
- Structure development transactions and manage due diligence processes.
- Lead industrial, logistics, warehousing, and land development projects.
- Coordinate zoning, township establishment, municipal approvals, and infrastructure requirements.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, procurement processes, and consultant teams.
- Support the negotiation and conclusion of commercial property transactions and agreements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Property Studies, Real Estate, Town and Regional Planning, or a related built-environment discipline.
- 5–10 years' experience in property development or a related built-environment field.
- Proven exposure to industrial, logistics, warehousing, infrastructure, or land development projects.
- Strong understanding of development economics, zoning, township establishment, municipal approvals, and construction processes.
- Experience supporting or negotiating commercial property transactions.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, communication, and project management skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with diverse teams.
