General Manager

Great opportunity for an experienced General Manager! This role will be based in one of our following Pittsburgh Specialty or Alta Via Restaurants: Alta Via Fox Chapel, Alta Via Market Square, Alta Via Pizzeria, Casbah, Eleven, Kaya, or Soba

Our General Managers are positive leaders with top notch communication skills to oversee all store operations, motivate and guide employees, and to ensure that we provide an outstanding customer experience. 

• The General Managers oversees all aspects of the restaurant’s operations, makes employment decisions and trains employees. 
• The General Manager develops and maintains the atmosphere of the restaurant in all areas consistent with branding and fosters an inclusive and positive work environment. 
• The General Manager implements corporate initiatives and achieves stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation. 
• The General Manager builds sales, generates profit, and controls turnover.

Required skills and qualifications to be a General Manager with big Burrito Restaurant Group:

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Able to pass a background screening
• 3 years of front-of-the-house operations and/or assistant management positions
• 6 months of experience in a management capacity 
• Knowledge of service and food and beverage
• Possess excellent basic math skills 
• Able to operate a terminal or POS system
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Able to communicate clearly and effectively with others

Physical requirements for General Manager with big Burrito Restaurant Group:

• Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours)
• Able to reach, bend, stoop, and  lift up to 50 pounds
