The Assistant Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for the strategic leadership, direction, and oversight of all Food & Beverage operations within the Residence Club, including the Restaurant, In Villa Dining, Pools, Special Events, Culinary, and Stewarding. Reporting directly to the Resort Manager, this role ensures exceptional owner and guest experiences through operational excellence, innovative programming, financial performance, employee development, and service culture leadership. The Assistant Director of Food & Beverage plays a key role in developing and executing the Residence Club's food and beverage strategy, enhancing service standards, driving revenue growth, and fostering a culture of excellence consistent with the luxury hospitality standards of Four Seasons.
What You’ll Do:
Partner closely with the Resort Manager to establish and execute strategic objectives, operational initiatives, and long-term Food & Beverage goals.
Create and foster a culture of accountability, engagement, service excellence, and continuous improvement throughout the Food & Beverage Division.
Lead, develop, coach, mentor, and evaluate managers and employees to ensure exceptional performance and adherence to luxury service standards.
Recruit, train, and retain top talent while creating meaningful career development opportunities for Food & Beverage team members.
Develop and maintain comprehensive training programs that enhance technical skills, service excellence, leadership development, and operational consistency.
Ensure the highest standards of food quality, beverage quality, presentation, cleanliness, safety, and personalized service throughout all Food & Beverage operations.
Serve as a visible and engaged leader within the operation, building strong relationships with Residence Club owners, guests, residents, and employees.
Continuously evaluate and enhance service standards, dining experiences, and operational processes to maintain a competitive position within the luxury hospitality market.
Collaborate with the Culinary team to develop innovative menus, beverage programs, wine offerings, and seasonal experiences that reflect guest preferences and market trends.
Drive revenue growth through creative programming, promotions, events, outlet activations, and innovative Food & Beverage offerings.
Develop, manage, and achieve departmental budgets, forecasts, and financial objectives while maximizing profitability and operational efficiency.
Control labor costs and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing practices, inventory management, and productivity initiatives.
Monitor business performance through data analytics, guest feedback, financial reporting, and key performance indicators, implementing corrective action plans when needed.
Prepare and present budget reports, forecasts, operational updates, and performance analytics to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
Collaborate with department leaders to ensure seamless communication, coordination, and execution of Residence Club initiatives and guest experiences.
Maintain compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and regulatory requirements, as well as Residence Club and Four Seasons standards.
Oversee outlet scheduling, staffing plans, employee relations matters, performance management, and disciplinary processes in accordance with company policies.
Participate in the planning and execution of special events, owner functions, seasonal programming, and resort-wide initiatives.
Respond effectively and professionally in any Residence Club emergency or safety situation.
Serve as a role model for professionalism, leadership, and service excellence while actively promoting the Residence Club's culture and values.
Perform other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned by the Resort Manager or Residence Club leadership team.
What you bring:
Previous experience as a Director of Outlets, Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, or comparable senior Food & Beverage leadership role within a luxury hotel, resort, private club, or residence club environment.
Demonstrated success leading multiple Food & Beverage outlets and diverse teams while achieving exceptional operational and financial results.
Proven ability to attract, develop, mentor, and retain high-performing employees and leaders.
Experience revitalizing, repositioning, and enhancing Food & Beverage concepts to drive guest satisfaction and business performance.
Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, labor costs, revenue strategies, and operational expenses.
Demonstrated ability to lead change, improve processes, and implement innovative service and dining concepts.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
Passion for luxury hospitality, personalized service, and creating memorable guest experiences.
