About the Role
As an Enrolled Practice Nurse, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care within a busy and collaborative General Practice environment. Working closely with GPs, Registered Nurses, and allied health professionals, you will assist with a range of clinical and administrative duties while contributing to positive patient experiences and health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care within your scope of practice.
- Assist with patient assessments, observations, and routine clinical procedures.
- Perform wound care, dressings, ECGs, and other treatment room procedures.
- Administer vaccinations, injections, and medications as authorised and in accordance with practice protocols.
- Support chronic disease management programs, care plans, health assessments, and recall activities.
- Assist with health screenings and preventative health initiatives.
- Provide patient education and support to encourage positive health outcomes.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, medical equipment, and clinical stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, accreditation, and clinical governance requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with GPs, Registered Nurses, and the broader healthcare team.
What You'll Need
- Current AHPRA Registration as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Medication Endorsement (highly regarded).
- Previous experience in a General Practice, Primary Care, Community Health, or similar healthcare setting preferred.
- Experience with immunisations, wound management, health assessments, and chronic disease management is highly regarded.
- Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centred care.
- A proactive approach with strong organisational and time-management skills.
