Description

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated leader to join Primary Care ICO Team to drive the Pharmacy Channel Strategy and Consumer/Patient Activation efforts. This role will be pivotal in developing and executing innovative strategies that maximise the pharmacy channel and activate the consumer, aiming to enhance product accessibility, improve patient outcomes, and ultimately grow market share. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Pharmacy Channel Strategy Development: 

  • Develop with key countries a retail pharmacy channel strategy and operational model. 

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive pharmacy channel strategies, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. 

  • Partner with countries to establish a retail pharmacy strategy based on different market archetypes and regulations and business potential. 

  • Monitor and analyze industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to identify new opportunities for pharmacy channel growth. 

  • Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and market dynamics that may impact the retail and pharmacy landscape. 
     

Direct to Consumer (DTC) and Patient Activation: 

  • Develop and implement patient-centric activation programs to improve uptake and improve outcomes. 

  • Work closely with ICO Commercial Leads and Brand Marketing Leads to create compelling patient education, awareness, and support initiatives that resonate across diverse consumer segments. 

  • Partner with CoLab and the CMO Media team to build on their expertise on successful public campaigns and deploy best practices. 

  • Drive the development of programs promoting patient awareness and activation on vaccination, primary prevention, and other essential healthcare initiatives. 
     

Portfolio 

  • Act as a key partner in shaping and operationalizing PROTECT the vaccines operating model, ensuring vaccine portfolio priorities are effectively connected to market execution and XFT priorities Accelerate adoption of innovative AI enabled commercial capabilities. 

  • Enable successful delivery of portfolio-wide initiatives by partnering with global, market, digital, PPA and other cross-functional teams, tracking progress, gathering market insights, sharing best practices, and driving alignment across key strategic programmes and operating model initiatives. 
     

General: 

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with ICO Primary Care, Medical, Policy and Public affairs and Global Marketing to ensure strategic initiatives are executed effectively in the pharmacy and DTC space. 

  • Integrate patient-focused digital strategies and AI tools that empower individuals in managing their health. 

  • Work with cross functional team to ensure the integration of portfolio insights into pharmacy channel and DTC strategies. 

  • Partner with CMO and Digital team to ensure consistent execution of strategies. 

  • Work with our agency partners to create an omnichannel strategy for leveraging retail pharmacy and DTC opportunities to maximize business opportunities. 

  • Collaborate with regulatory, compliance and legal teams to ensure all consumer and pharmacy-facing materials comply with industry standards and regulations. 

  • Partner directly with the Primary Care Portfolio Lead to translate brand-level priorities across Paxlovid, Eliquis and Vydura into pharmacy channel and DTC activation plans, ensuring portfolio growth targets are reflected in channel execution. 

  • Provide the Portfolio Lead with regular pharmacy channel and DTC performance insights and reporting to inform LE vs. Budget tracking, resource allocation, and portfolio-level decision-making.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Business, Marketing, or related field required; Advanced degree preferred.

  • 8+ years pharmaceutical experience with knowledge of the industry and healthcare environment. 

  • Understanding of the retail and pharmacy channel dynamics including purchasing processes, distribution models, and market dynamics. 

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and market insights to drive decision-making and optimize business performance. 

  • Strong performance track record: continuously demonstrated high performance, teamwork and ability to produce outstanding results. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. 

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within tight deadlines. 

  • Experience in therapeutic areas relevant to our portfolio.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $176,600.00 to $294,300.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
