Senior Software Engineer III (Full Stack)
Location: Remote (United States) — Preference for NYC or Denver

We're representing a fast-growing fintech company building the infrastructure that enables businesses to compliantly pay contractors and employees around the world. Their platform simplifies global payroll and payments while helping enterprises navigate complex international compliance requirements.
Backed by leading investors including Blockchain Capital and notable technology founders, the company has built a profitable business serving enterprise customers backed by firms such as Sequoia and Andreessen Horowitz. As the engineering team continues to grow, they're hiring a Senior Software Engineer to own products end-to-end, help establish technical leadership, and build AI-native engineering workflows that accelerate product development.
What You Will Do
- Design, build, and maintain full-stack product features across the company's global payments platform.
- Own products from architecture and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and ongoing iteration.
- Build scalable backend services, APIs, and cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise financial workflows.
- Develop intuitive frontend experiences using React and modern TypeScript frameworks.
- Partner directly with enterprise customers to understand product requirements and influence roadmap decisions.
- Design secure, reliable systems for handling financial data and payment workflows.
- Leverage AI-native engineering tools to accelerate development, testing, and software delivery.
- Contribute to architectural decisions, engineering standards, and long-term platform evolution.
- Collaborate closely with product leadership and company founders in a small, high-ownership engineering team.
- Help shape engineering culture while mentoring teammates as the organization grows.
Ideal Candidate Background
- 5–10 years of professional full-stack software engineering experience.
- Experience building production fintech, payments, payroll, or HR technology products.
- Strong proficiency with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
- Experience designing APIs, backend services, cloud infrastructure, and scalable data models.
- Proven track record shipping full-stack products end-to-end within startup environments.
- Experience working directly with enterprise customers to gather feedback and shape product direction.
- Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar as part of daily engineering workflows.
- Strong software architecture skills with the ability to make pragmatic technical decisions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and customer teams.
- High ownership mindset with a passion for building products from concept to production.
Preferred
- Experience with AI agents, agentic workflows, or AI-powered software development pipelines.
- Background building developer platforms, fintech infrastructure, or enterprise SaaS products.
- Familiarity with modern CI/CD practices and cloud-native application development.
- Startup experience with significant ownership across product and engineering decisions.
- Strong interest in engineering leadership and helping scale technical organizations.
- Experience balancing security, compliance, and product velocity in regulated industries.
- Comfortable working in small, highly collaborative engineering teams.
- Based in or willing to regularly collaborate from New York City or Denver.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: $175,000–$225,000.
