Batteries Plus is a specialty retail and service business helping customers solve automotive, power, and technology needs. Our stores provide batteries for vehicles, equipment, electronics, and specialty applications, along with services such as automotive key programming, battery installation, device repair, lighting solutions, and more.

We're looking for someone who wants to move beyond basic retail and develop into a confident, knowledgeable sales professional.

At Batteries Plus, sales is built on expertise, trust, and finding the right solution - not high-pressure tactics. You'll build knowledge customers rely on while earning incentives based on your individual performance.

You do not need experience with batteries, automotive keys, or device repair. Bring a strong customer-service or sales foundation, dependable work habits, and the initiative to learn. We'll provide the training.

What Makes This Opportunity Different

• Expected Total Earnings: $20.00 - $23.50 per hour, combining hourly pay, individual performance incentives, and weekend premium pay

• Uncapped Commission: Strong performance creates additional earning potential

At least one weekend day per week is required.

Put Your People Skills to Work

• Consultative Sales: Ask questions, understand the application, explain options, and confidently recommend the right products and services.

• Product Expertise: Develop specialized knowledge across batteries, automotive applications, key programming, lighting, device repair, and other technical categories.

• Customer Experience: Build trust, address concerns, explain value, and own the customer experience from greeting through checkout and follow-through.

• Store Responsibility: Support inventory, merchandising, daily operations, and opening and closing keyholder responsibilities.

Advanced technical or repair experience is not required. Our designated technicians handle more complex repair work while you help customers understand their options and coordinate the right solution.

Who We're Looking For

This role is designed for someone ready to take the next step beyond basic transactional customer service.

• Relevant Experience: At least 1 year of sales or customer service experience in a role where you regularly advised customers, recommended solutions, or worked toward performance goals.

• Professional & Reliable: Communicates confidently, follows through, and takes ownership of responsibilities.

• Coachable & Curious: Wants to learn new products, improve selling skills, and apply feedback.

• Performance-Minded: Comfortable making recommendations, asking for the sale, and working toward individual goals.

Experience in wireless, automotive service or parts, electronics, hardware, specialty retail, hospitality, or another consultative customer environment can be especially relevant.

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 18 years of age or older

• Valid driver's license

• Full-time weekday and weekend availability

• Basic math and communication skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
