Mechanical Engineer

Description

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for new and existing products.
• Create 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Support product development activities including prototyping, testing, and design verification.
• Collaborate closely with electrical, software, manufacturing, and quality teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Conduct engineering analyses, tolerance studies, and design reviews.
• Identify and resolve design, manufacturing, and reliability issues.
• Support transition of new products into manufacturing and ongoing production improvements.
• Manage engineering projects and technical tasks to meet schedule and performance objectives.
• Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action activities.

Requirements

RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS  

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 1-3 years of mechanical engineering experience in product development, manufacturing, or a related field.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
• Experience creating engineering drawings and product documentation.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with electro-mechanical products.
• Familiarity with machining, sheet metal, plastics, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience supporting products through development and production.
• Knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA)

?Location: This role is based in Burlington, MA. We are seeking local candidates, as relocation assistance is not available.
