Description
Sambla Group is a fintech company with a clear goal – to be your trusted financial partner. We’ve grown into one of the fastest-growing fintech companies, bridging the gap between borrowers and lenders, thanks to the 500+ amazing people who work here. In the summer of 2026, we were granted authorisation as a credit market company, marking an important milestone in our continued journey to expand into own lending and opening an exciting new chapter for Sambla Group.
Right now we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with Backend & AWS focus, who want to be part of this journey, who care about impact, not just output. With a product mindset, you will help shape the next phase of our growth.
As a Senior Software Engineer at Sambla Group you will work together with a close-knit team of developers on all levels. Everyday work as a developer here revolves around developing our product & internal systems, managing our infrastructure and launching exciting experiments. Our stack is Javascript-focused with Node.js for backend, with our services running on AWS. Having superb skills in our entire stack is not a requirement, but the will to learn is!
This position is based at our headquarters on Tulegatan in Stockholm.
In this role, you will:
Design and develop backend services powering our new products and ventures.
Actively take part in product discovery and influence what we build.
Collaborate with frontend, design, and business colleagues to deliver end-to-end value.
Write clean, reliable, and scalable code with ownership from idea to production.
Contribute to defining our ways of working and technical patterns as we grow.
What we expect from you:
5+ years of backend or fullstack experience with frequent product shipping.
Strong understanding of modern software engineering principles and architectures.
Experience with or curiosity for our stack: Node.js, React, TypeScript/JavaScript, Next.js, and AWS (including CDK and CloudFormation).
Experience designing and building APIs, services and scalable systems.
Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
Experience working with databases, testing and CI/CD.
Experience in employing AI on daily work and create reusable workflows.
A collaborative mindset and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
Bonus: App-first products, React Native or Cloud-based AI workloads.
Above all: a product mindset, you want to understand why we build things and you see impact as important as delivery.
Why this role?
Shape the foundations: Help set patterns and practices in teams where ways of working are still evolving.
Build for scale: Work on customer-facing features that reach thousands, while also designing systems that support Sambla’s growth.
Grow and explore: Join at a stage where team missions and ventures expand, giving you the chance to explore different problem spaces over time.
Work with purpose: What you build helps everyday people take control of their finances and create lasting impact in their lives.
We might be a little different from most companies. Instead of defining personal values, we’ve built a shared way of working - a rhythm that guides how we collaborate, support our customers, and move forward together. We call it Drive & Jive - a shared rhythm that creates momentum through direction, collaboration, and human connection.
As part of our recruitment process, we always carry out a background check before extending a job offer.
