Description
Listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX: CYL), Catalyst Metals owns and operates the Plutonic Gold Mine in the Eastern Gascoyne region of Western Australia. As the operation continues to grow, several underground mining areas have successfully transitioned from development into production, supporting Catalyst's vision of building a sustainable, long-life gold business founded on disciplined planning, operational excellence and continuous improvement.
The success of Plutonic has underpinned an aggressive exploration and growth strategy across the Plutonic Gold Belt, resulting in the development of two new underground mines, K2 and Trident, and creating a significant pipeline of future opportunities. With a strategy focused on expanding production through a hub-and-spoke operating model, Catalyst is well positioned to deliver long-term growth across its portfolio.
We are seeking a motivated and technically capable Underground Mine Surveyor to join our operations at the Plutonic Gold Mine.
Reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor, you will play an important role in supporting underground and surface mining activities through the delivery of accurate survey data, mine plans and technical information.
Working closely with mining and technical services teams, you will contribute to safe, efficient mine development and production by providing reliable survey control across a range of operational activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct survey mark-outs for drill and blast rings, mine development, exploration drilling and raisebore activities.
- Complete accurate surveys of underground workings, stopes, ore stockpiles, infrastructure and completed development.
- Prepare and maintain survey plans, including development instructions, end-of-month reporting, dig permits and emergency response plans.
- Establish, maintain and verify underground survey control networks and associated survey databases.
- Provide accurate survey information to support geological mapping, mine planning and operational decision-making.
- Collaborate with mining and technical services teams to ensure survey activities are completed safely, accurately and within operational timeframes.
