Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Site Integrity in Jamaica, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and report observations according to site procedures. You will provide courteous customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government services location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required documentation.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, entrances, perimeters, and parking areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, employee, and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures.
• Support emergency response activities, including directing occupants and coordinating with first responders as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
