Our internal print unit is responsible for producing thousands of items each year that support council services across Hull. We're looking for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, practical working environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work as part of a dedicated team.
You'll need to work accurately and follow instructions while managing competing priorities in a busy production environment where workloads can change quickly. The role is based within a factory-style print setting and candidates should be comfortable working in a busy and sometimes noisy environment.
A significant part of the role involves operating print finishing equipment and undertaking manual handling tasks. The role requires periods of standing and physical activity throughout the day. Previous experience of print finishing machinery is not essential, but a willingness to learn, work as part of a team and contribute to a busy production operation is important.
The post includes both typesetting and print finishing duties. Ideally, you'll have experience using Adobe software for typesetting and document preparation, although training can be provided for the right candidate.
We're looking for someone with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. If you can work accurately, respond to changing priorities and enjoy being part of a busy team, we'd like to hear from you.
