Description
Role & Clinical Scope:
- Position Title: Temp / Travel Inpatient Pharmacist.
- Employment Type: Temporary Contract.
- Setting: Critical Access Hospital Setting.
- Supported Units: Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Labor & Delivery (L&D), Medical/Surgical (M/S), and Emergency Department (ED).
- Primary Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive inpatient pharmaceutical care across acute care units; review orders, verify clinical profiles, manage clinical dosing, and oversee medication distribution. Must be capable of working independently (specifically on weekend shifts).
- Automated Dispensing & Systems: Meditech EMR [HIGHLY PREFERRED]; Omnicell automation systems [HIGHLY PREFERRED].
Schedule & Hours:
- Shift Type: Days (Monday – Friday).
- Shift Times: 07:00 – 16:00 (Arrival 06:30/07:00; flex between 07:00/07:30 – 16:30/17:00).
- Hours per Day: 8 Hours.
- Weekly Commitment: 40 Hours / Week.
- Weekend Requirements: Every 3rd weekend (Saturday & Sunday 07:00 – 12:00; arrival 06:30/07:00).
- On-Call Requirements: None.
Candidate Requirements & Qualifications:
- Clinical Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of current hospital pharmacy experience [REQUIRED].
- 2 to 5 years total practice experience (Will consider 1 year of experience if 100% hospital-based with Meditech proficiency).
- Critical Access Hospital experience [HIGHLY PREFERRED].
- Previous travel contract experience [HIGHLY PREFERRED].
