Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Building Access Control in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will support access control activities, assist visitors and staff with professionalism, and communicate observations using computer or tablet tools. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors at a cultural institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout galleries, exhibit spaces, public areas, staff areas, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, or facility conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor flow, assist with directions and site information, and help maintain an orderly environment around collections and displays.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting protocols.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and security-related concerns accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
