Description
Core Responsibilities
-
Electrical Design & Schematics: Create accurate electrical schematics and ladder logic in AutoCAD (SolidWorks Electrical a plus), strictly adhering to NEC and UL standards.

Component Selection & Procurement: Select motors, VFDs, contactors, circuit breakers, and controllers, generating detailed Excel BOMs for purchasing.

PLC Programming & NPD: Program Carel (primary) and Automation Direct PLCs; lead R&D initiatives for new product development and continuous improvement.

Technical Documentation & Support: Develop production standards/SOPs and provide technical engineering support to field service and customers (occasional travel required).
Key Requirements
-
Education & Experience: BS in Engineering; 5+ years of electrical engineering and PLC programming experience.

Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in electrical drafting (AutoCAD), working knowledge of HVAC/refrigeration systems, and Carel/Automation Direct PLC fluency.

Soft Skills: Strong critical thinking, self-motivated independent worker, excellent technical writing, and a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Active Georgia PE license.

5+ years of HVAC/Refrigeration industry experience.

Familiarity with Allen Bradley or Siemens PLCs.

LEAN / 6S continuous improvement experience.
