Overview

The Regional Integrated Work System (IWS) Trainer drives the deployment, coaching, and standardization of IWS, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and Lean manufacturing principles across multiple manufacturing sites. This role bridges regional operational strategy and shop-floor execution. The primary focus is to eliminate operational losses, build employee capability, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and zero-loss thinking across the region.

Responsibilities

  • Training Delivery: Conduct classroom instruction and hands-on shop-floor coaching on IWS DMSs, pillars, methodologies, and tools.
  • Capability Mapping: Develop skills matrices, identify training gaps, and design tailored learning plans for different plant levels.
  • Leadership Mentoring: Coach and certify site-level IWS Managers, pillar leads, and plant leadership teams to ensure self-sufficiency.
  • Phase Progress Audits: Lead periodic health checks and pillar assessments to evaluate implementation maturity and system sustainability.
  • Loss Elimination: Guide teams in using advanced root-cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Ishikawa, Kaizen) to systematically eliminate manufacturing waste.
  • Best Practice Sharing: Capture successful local initiatives and establish benchmarks to rapidly deploy those solutions across other facilities.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Act as the central point of contact between global IWS steering committees, regional leadership, and plant managers.
  • KPI Tracking: Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), MTBF, training completion rates, and phase progression milestones.

Qualifications

  • Professional Experience: Proven track record in continuous improvement roles (TPM, Lean, Six Sigma, or IWS) within FMCG, pharmaceutical, or heavy manufacturing environments.
  • Methodological Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of core IWS/TPM pillars, specifically Autonomous Maintenance (AM), Progressive Maintenance (PM), etc.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical), Operations Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong change management capabilities with a demonstrated ability to influence without formal authority across various organizational levels.
  • Communication & Facilitation: Exceptional presentation, instructional design, and cross-functional facilitation skills.
  • Analytical Mindset: Proficiency in data analysis, manufacturing metrics (OEE, MTBF, MTTR), and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Mobility: Willingness and flexibility to travel frequently to different manufacturing locations within the assigned region.
