We are seeking an engaging and passionate Training Center Instructor to support healthcare professionals through high-quality education and certification programs. In this role, you will deliver Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) training to employees, affiliates, community members, and healthcare providers. Ideal candidates enjoy teaching, mentoring others, and helping learners build the skills and confidence needed to provide exceptional patient care.

What's Available:

• 0.75 FTE (30 hours weekly)
• Shifts: Monday-Friday, between 7am-5pm
• Department: Integrated Center for Education
• Location: La Crosse, WI

What You Will Do:

• Deliver BLS, ACLS, and PALS courses to healthcare professionals, affiliates, and community participants following American Heart Association guidelines.
• Prepare training materials, equipment, and course documentation to support successful learning experiences.
• Serve as a mentor and educational resource for learners, instructor candidates, and healthcare teams.
• Support program quality initiatives and continuous improvement of certification and training programs.

What You Need:

Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree in a health-related field
• Two years of experience working in a healthcare-related field
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with hands on learning from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Ability to obtain ACLS and PALS certification within 60 days of hire
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a health-related field
• Experience as an EMT, Paramedic, RN, or other healthcare professional
• Experience teaching or facilitating healthcare education programs
• Current AHA ACLS and/or PALS Instructor certification
• Experience as an instructor for AHA, AAP, ENA, CPI, or similar certification programs
