Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Hospital in Travelers Rest, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to patients, visitors, and staff. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.69 / Hour

Job Schedule:

This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency responders.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry points, verifying authorized access as directed, and documenting visitor, contractor, and/or delivery activity according to site requirements.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation while communicating observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Hospital vaccines are required.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
