Job Description

1. Operational Delivery & Client Experience

• Lead end-to-end onboarding delivery for Private Bank clients, covering new-to-bank and existing-to-bank opening new accounts. Ensure outcomes are timely, predictable and risk-proportionate.

• Own onboarding SLA performance through effective workload planning, prioritisation of aging and complex cases, and timely intervention to address bottlenecks.

• Provide clear and practical guidance to client-facing teams on KYC requirements, risk assessments and approval expectations.

2. Change & Process Optimisation

• Assess onboarding impacts of change initiatives before rollout, including process, system, control and stakeholder readiness considerations.

• Provide structured operational input to policy, process and system changes, ensuring they are practical, clear and aligned across front-to-back stakeholders.

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce client and front office friction, and strengthen onboarding execution standards.

3. Risk Oversight & Regulatory Management

• Oversee onboarding risk assessments to ensure decisions are consistent with policy intent, regulatory expectations, risk appetite and risk-proportionate principles.

• Coordinate responses to audit, compliance and regulatory queries on onboarding matters, ensuring issues are clearly framed and remediation actions are tracked to closure.

4. People Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, coach and develop a resilient, collaborative and high-performing team with strong ownership of onboarding outcomes.

• Build technical capability, sound judgement and confidence to provide balanced challenge where required.

• Drive a culture of accountability, service mindset and continuous learning.

• Promote knowledge sharing across teams to support front-to-back delivery and reinforce the Onboarding team’s role as a centre of excellence.
