Description
We are seeking an experienced Lead Engineer – Proposals to join our Production Solutions team. This role will be responsible for leading the development of high-quality technical and commercial proposals for oil & gas production facilities. The successful candidate will play a critical role in delivering fit-for-purpose, cost-effective solutions and supporting business development activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of proposal development, from initial RFQ through to submission and handover
- Develop technical concepts and process designs for modular and fast-track production facilities
- Prepare process simulations and documentation (e.g., PFDs) using industry-standard tools
- Lead the preparation of cost-to-build estimates, working closely with supply chain and vendors
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to produce complete and competitive bids
- Support Business Development in client meetings, presentations, and technical discussions
- Participate in tender clarification meetings with clients and vendors
- Ensure all proposals align with commercial objectives, quality standards, and delivery timelines
- Provide technical guidance and share knowledge within the engineering and project teams
- Contribute to continuous improvement, alternative solutions, and innovation within the business
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in the oil & gas / energy sector
- Proven experience in proposal/tendering, concept or FEED engineering
- Background in modular production systems / early production facilities (EPF) or similar fast-track projects
- Experience working with companies involved in production solutions, gas processing, or modular facilities
Technical Skills
- Strong process engineering expertise (essential)
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., HYSYS)
- Experience developing Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and high-level design concepts
- Good understanding of equipment selection, system design, and facility layouts
- Ability to develop accurate cost estimates and commercial inputs
