We are looking for a Turnaround Planner to lead the planning and execution of industrial outage scopes. This position will be full-time and hybrid in LA, CA or TX.
What You’ll Do
Lead assigned portions of outage scope through planning and construction phases
Develop scope for assigned work orders within the outage, identifying secondary and/or support disciplines required
Create detailed planning activities for each work order, including individual tasks, manpower requirements, durations, and assigned disciplines
Provide daily schedule updates during outage execution
Prepare job planning packages per client guidelines, including pictures, P&IDs, BOMs, tools, safe work procedures, applicable standards, QC requirements, etc.
Support client Management of Change process by recognizing plant changes and following through on documentation and recommendations in a timely manner
Provide contractor field management in all outage phases for assigned contractors, including safety oversight, timesheet verification, field supervision, change orders, and QC verification
Uphold and communicate high standards of housekeeping in assigned areas and on all job sites
Conduct frequent formal housekeeping inspections of plant areas.
Complete closeout documentation per client standards and procedures
What You’ll Need
Required:
10+ years of experience in maintenance and/or engineering disciplines, preferably with experience in industrial outages, exchangers, pumps, hydrotesting, and pipe fabrication
5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Planner
Ability to read and understand P&IDs, ISO’s, piping isometrics, fixed equipment design packages, and pipe specs
Proficient in the use of business software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, SAP, and Primavera P6
Working knowledge of ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, ASME Sec. I, and ASME Sec. VIII
Valid TWIC card due to travel requirements. OSCA/OSHA training will be needed at some sites
Preferred:
Previous experience building execution work packages with detailed work plans including safety matrix, pictures, P&ID, isometric, bill of materials, etc.
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
Must be able to communicate with customers/team members over the phone and in person
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office or job site
Work requires working from heights, climbing fixed ladders, and stairs
Ability to perform other duties as assigned
