Director - Custody Billing Product Head (Investor Services - Custody)

The Role:

We are looking for a visionary Custody Billing Product Head to lead the strategic development and delivery of digital billing experiences and data products for our Custody clients. As a key member of the Custody Business Services team, you will shape the future of Custody Billing by leveraging AI and advanced digital solutions to enhance client satisfaction, operational efficiency, and commercial outcomes.

You will own product strategy end-to-end, drive decisions through data-driven insights, and embed AI tools as a core part of your team's daily workflow — from ideation and prototyping through to JIRA generation, code review, and insight synthesis. You are a passionate change agent with deep expertise in Custody billing operations, settlement, safekeeping, corporate actions, and asset servicing.

Responsibilities:

• Strategic Billing Product Leadership:
  • Define and champion the strategic vision for Custody Billing products
  • Act as the authoritative voice of the Custody client for billing, translating complex business needs and regulatory requirements into a clear, prioritized, outcome-driven product roadmap
  • Identify and advocate for opportunities to leverage Citi's institutional scale through innovative digital and data-driven billing products

• End-to-End Product Lifecycle Management:
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of digital billing and billing-related data products — from discovery and design through to launch, adoption, and continuous improvement
  • Apply advanced Digital Product Management best practices including OKR-driven prioritization, continuous discovery, agile delivery, and iterative development

• Ownership of Billing Data Products:
  • Define, govern, and continuously evolve billing data assets as first-class products
  • Establish clear data consumers, SLAs, data quality standards, comprehensive data lineage, and robust access controls
  • Champion a "data-as-a-product" mindset — ensuring Custody billing data is discoverable, reliable, valuable, and consumable by both internal stakeholders and external clients
• Strategic AI Integration for Billing:
  • Lead the integration of AI tools throughout the billing product development workflow, including agentic AI, LLMs, and AI-assisted SDLC tooling
  • Drive adoption of AI across the Custody Data & AI team to compress time-to-market and significantly improve the quality and accuracy of billing output
  • Leverage AI to accelerate research, prototyping, requirements generation, and JIRA story creation
• Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement:
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement — implementing efficient processes and reducing time-to-market for billing features
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues through thorough root cause analysis
  • Utilize billing data and AI-generated insights to inform prioritization, measure product impact, and optimize billing operations
  • Develop and implement robust risk and control frameworks specifically for billing processes, ensuring diligent management and mitigation of processing risks.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 15+ years in senior product leadership within Custody or complex Financial Services billing environments
• Digital Product Leadership: Demonstrable track record as a Digital Product Head — outcome-oriented, agile, and strategic, owning products end-to-end
• Billing Data Products: Proven ability to define and manage complex billing data as a product — data contracts, quality frameworks, lineage, and consumer-centric design
• AI & Digital Transformation: Track record of developing and deploying AI/ML-forward solutions specifically tailored for billing challenges
• Product Development Leadership: Experience leading full product development lifecycle with OKR-driven roadmaps, agile delivery, and continuous discovery
• Global Leadership: Ability to manage multiple billing products and workstreams across a complex, global, matrixed organization
• Analytical Acumen: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; uses billing data, product metrics, and AI insights to drive strategic decisions
• Communication & Influence: Exceptional verbal, written, and relationship-building skills; able to influence senior internal and external stakeholders globally
• Thought Leadership: Demonstrated thought leadership through industry events, publications, and articles in digital product management, data, and AI within Financial Services
• Process Optimization: Proven ability to optimize billing processes, balancing strategic vision with meticulous operational detail

Education:

• Bachelor's / University degree required.
• Master's / MBA (preferred).
