Our purpose is to bring together people, energy and markets to power and navigate a changing world. In a time of constant change and possibility we need new talent to pursue commercial opportunities, fuelled by world-class insight and expertise. We’re always striving for more innovative digital solutions, sustainable outcomes and closer collaboration across our company and beyond, and you could be part of that too.

About the role:

As a Global Onboarding Consultant, you will play a key role in shaping and enhancing bp's global onboarding experience, ensuring every new hire has a seamless journey from offer acceptance through to their first day.

Working closely with Talent Acquisition, Onboarding & Administration (O+A), People Analytics, and wider People & Culture teams, you will lead onboarding transformation initiatives, drive process improvements, and deliver a consistent, high-quality experience for employees across bp.

This role requires a strong programme management mindset, the ability to influence across a complex global organisation, and a passion for using data, technology, and stakeholder collaboration to continuously improve the employee experience.

Please note that roles based out of SJS or Sunbury will move to Timber Square, Southwark, from Q4 2027.

What you'll be doing:

  • Support the development and delivery of bp's global onboarding strategy, creating a consistent and engaging experience for new hires worldwide.

  • Lead onboarding improvement initiatives across processes, systems, and ways of working, finding opportunities to enhance efficiency and employee experience.

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, O+A, People Analytics, and other key stakeholders to drive onboarding excellence and governance.

  • Use data, customer feedback, and performance metrics to identify trends, measure success, and implement continuous improvements.

  • Act as a trusted advisor on onboarding best practices, influencing partners and driving alignment across multiple teams and functions.

  • Monitor onboarding KPIs and provide insights and recommendations that support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.

  • Support supplier performance reviews and help ensure a compliant, high-quality onboarding experience for all new hires.

What we're looking for:

  • Significant Talent Acquisition experience with a strong understanding of end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes.

  • Proven programme or project management experience, with the ability to drive multiple initiatives and deliver meaningful change.

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience working effectively across a matrix organisation.

  • Strong understanding of onboarding procedures, customer experience, and process optimisation.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence collaborators at all levels.

Nice to have

  • Experience leading onboarding, employee experience, or business transformation initiatives.

  • Knowledge of change management methodologies and continuous improvement practices.

  • Experience managing recruitment suppliers and external partners.

  • CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent HR-related qualification.
