Within this context, the CTS Tribe Data Product Lead is end-to-end accountable for the strategy, value delivery, onboarding, and sustainable operation of a global portfolio of regulatory data products, ensuring compliance, scalability, and future‑proof solutions.
The team
Financial Crime & Fraud Prevention (FCFP) is part of COO and is a first line of defense organization. It leads the standardization of related processes, enhanced controls, shared tooling, and the optimization of operations across all business lines, helping to achieve a more robust Financial Crime Prevention & Fraud environment and contributing to ING’s response to regulatory requirements while delivering customer value.
Within Global FCFP, we are organized around services: Customer Due Diligence, Transaction Monitoring, Screening, Client Tax Services and Fraud Services, alongside global supporting functions that ensure effectiveness, excellence, and oversight & control.
Global Client Tax Services (CTS) is responsible for ensuring frictionless client tax compliance for ING and its customers through accurate, timely client tax information sharing and strong global client tax knowledge. CTS simplifies complexity, enabling compliance with client tax regulations through consistent standards, a global community of expertise, and increased automation of tax reporting and controls.
The CTS Tribe Data Product Lead leads a global team of approximately 8 FTE and works closely with global tribes and data teams across COO, Risk, Finance, External Reporting, Tech, CAS, regulators, external auditors and strategic vendors. You report to the CTS Tribe Lead and are part of the CTS Global Community.
Roles and responsibilities
In this role you will:
Define, own and continuously evolve the portfolio vision and roadmap for global regulatory data solutions, aligned with CTS strategy, ING priorities and regulatory timelines.
Maximise delivered business value and regulatory outcomes across the portfolio, including risk reduction, cost efficiency, operational resilience and audit readiness.
Provide strategic leadership across a multi-disciplinary product organisation (business, data, IT and hubs) and ensure effective collaboration across squads and entities.
Own portfolio risk management (1st Line of Defense) for global regulatory reporting solutions, including proactive identification, assessment and mitigation of regulatory, data and operational risks.
Ensure compliance with process control standards, data management standards and IT asset ownership, safeguarding auditability and regulatory confidence.
Drive data‑driven product and service improvements, leveraging insights across regulations, entities and data domains to improve quality, scalability and efficiency.
Ensure regulatory and business value is realised, including cost reduction, risk mitigation, compliance outcomes and enablement of new regulatory requirements.
Ensure predictability and quality of delivery against portfolio roadmap, regulatory deadlines and onboarding commitments.
Build and maintain senior stakeholder relationships across CDO, IT, FCFP, Wholesale Banking and Retail domains.
Facilitate governance and decision-making forums and ensure alignment across tribes, domains and ING entities to support centralisation and global standardisation.
Lead onboarding of ING entities and enable decommissioning of local solutions.
Develop squads and hubs to secure critical data capabilities, knowledge continuity and high-performing delivery.

University or postgraduate (Master’s degree) in a relevant field.
10+ years relevant experience in product/platform leadership for global regulatory reporting and service operations within a regulated financial services environment.
5+ years leading multi-disciplinary teams (business, data, IT, hubs and vendors) using agile ways of working, with strong governance of scope, dependencies, risks and delivery predictability.
Proven end-to-end ownership of complex platforms across run & change, including vision and roadmap, service catalogue/SLAs, operating model and measurable outcomes.
Strong understanding of end-to-end architectures, data flows and platform constraints, steering solution design for scalability, security and operational resilience.
Experience steering regulatory change and technical remediation at pace, translating regulatory requirements into platform and process changes and ensuring delivery.
Strong demonstrated expertise in data management & controls, including data governance, lineage, data quality monitoring, reconciliation and audit evidence, and ownership of 1st LoD risks.
Ability to translate strategy and evolving tax/regulatory obligations into a multi-year roadmap and maintain continuous regulatory readiness.
Ability to lead decision-making in senior forums and align business, operations, technology, data, risk/compliance and finance on priorities and trade-offs.
Experience managing strategic vendors and third parties via contracts, SLAs and performance and risk management to ensure predictable outcomes.
High attention to detail and quality.
Proactive and organised approach to delivery and ownership.
Experience balancing client, 1st and 2nd line interests.

Organisationally sensitive.
